Leading wiring accessories and lighting supplier, Scolmore Group, has produced a new brochure for its growing IEC Lock range, which brings all product information together in one concise, informative, A4 colour format.
The IEC Lock provides protection for computers, servers, PDU’s and most electrical appliances that are vulnerable to vibration and accidental disconnection – by way of a unique locking mechanism. The locking mechanism of the IEC Lock’s unique patented female C13 and C19 connectors is beautifully straightforward and can be retrofitted. The lead is simply connected to the appliance as any other standard IEC lead. Once it has been fitted, the IEC Lock mechanism locks it to the appliance ensuring that the lead cannot be accidentally pulled or vibrated out of the inlet.
Since it first introduced IEC Lock as an innovative solution Scolmore has continued to develop the product to add enhanced features and benefits. The new brochure includes the very latest addition to the IEC LOCK range – the new IEC Lock+ Rewireable - the world’s first locking rewireable C13 IEC connector. This latest versions offers additional flexibility and ease of use, as well as LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) compatibility, to its list of features.
Applications for the IEC Lock range are wide-ranging and include military, broadcast, transportation and data centres. They have been used by broadcasting giant, BskyB, to provide vital protection for servers and IT equipment at a number of datacentres throughout the UK.
